Shift of Practice

So far, we've normally had practices on Saturdays at 12:30, but we're going to change it to Sundays at 12:30. Mainly because Harry and Kyle S ref soccer games on Saturdays and it seems that Sundays will work well. So, yes, that means there is a practice this Sunday at 12:30 at the Memorial School. I promise that the video will be made this time. See you there!

Player of the Week 9/16 - 9/23

At Nick's final practice he took control. He was not only motivated, but dominant. He rushed for 22 yards on 3 attempts, made 11 tackles, returned 2 kicks, one for a touchdown. That was only half of it. His receiving stats were crazy. 22 receptions, 233 yards, and 9 touchdowns! He said before the practice, he didn't want it given to him, he wanted to earn it. Earn it he did. Congrats!

Practice Recap 9/23

Jerseys were handed out and a ceremony was held for our moving teammate, Nick Young. His number was retired and sad Mastodon noises took place. But back to business, the scrimmage went well and it definitely a high scoring game at 58 to 72. However, according to Joe, the other team took steroids, so it will be marked as a 58 to 0. Today's practice was cancelled and thanks to the suggestion of Kyle Splaine, it will be held tomorrow at 12:30 at the Memorial School. Nice suggestion, Kyle! We're also gonna try to have the practices on Sundays rather than Saturdays now due to prior engagements with some of the players. Hope to see you there!

Yes, Another Saturday Practice

As expected, another Mastodon practice will be held at 12:30 on Saturday. Hopefully it will be at the Memorial School, but if soccer games are taking place there again, then we'll settle for the Middle School. We strongly encourage everyone to attend because CALEB is going to try to make it. I know, I know, he told me he would definitely be there, but now he said he MIGHT go. Come on, Caleb. Please make it, no matter what plans you have ;), as there will also be a ceremony for one of our players.

9/15 Practice Recap

We started off with the telling of important news. There was some good news. Kyle Splaine, Alex Bahnan, Joe Cicero, and Dave Mello have all been made captains along with the original captains, Alex Lach and Kyle Petit. However, there was some bad news. The Mastodons will be unable to play any official games this year, due to missed deadlines. However we are going to practice, get better, and be dominant come next August. Starting Quarterback Announcement

The owner, Joe, and I made an executive decision on the starting quarterback today. It was a tough choice because we wanted to have the best chance to win and we felt that the quarterback we were going with may not be the man for the job. We deliberated and have decided to have an in-game rotation. Alex will start the game at quarterback, but when the second quarter comes into play, Kyle will come in. In the third quarter, Alex, and the fourth quarter, Kyle. We felt that Alex had been awarded the starting job and maybe he just had an off day, but Kyle's day was far from off. So, yes, there will be a rotation. Congratulations to both Kyle Splaine and Alex Bahnan.

Today's Practice Recap

We started the day with an obstacle/conditioning course. Then we began a 5 on 5 scrimmage. The team which featured both Kyles, Alex Bahnan, Joe, and Dave won 7-3. We then practiced a few plays and then played a 3 on 3 scrimmage as four people left. The score of this was not recorded. The day concluded with miracle drives and a quarterback drill so we can discover our true starting quarterback which will be released later on today.
